Trick limit really sucks and makes it all a grind

Once you get good at grinding, it's very very easy to get trick combos that go far above the current point limit, which is 3000. This means that even a trick with a 50x multiplier will grant you a measly 750 standing, as your standing gain is your points divided by four. This makes gaining vent-kids standing pretty slow, as you are obviously not going to land 3000 point combos all the time, like when moving around between bounties.

 

3000 points is way too little is the thing, and makes gaining standing a time grind, instead of something actually based on skill.

The irony is that you end up grinding a lot to get the standing to improve your board to be able to get decent points without grinding. Learning to get big combos does take skill - but a lot less than learning to do it while on the way to places, and you really need the mods to make it viable. You need extra speed, extra jump height, and that extra combo modifier, and then you can start gaining decent points in the world rather than on the pipe outside Fortuna or the circle at the Pearl. If we are intended to be able to gain standing at a decent rate passively, then it does need attention. I wonder if changing the powerups from modifier boosts to being more like syndicate medallions (or standing multipliers) might help? Then you are incentivised to go around the map and not stick to one spot constantly.

Looks like nobody considers practising at k-driving as way to earn standing...
