Garuda Blood Altar use on Ancient Healers, Eximus and Leech units - is this working as intended?

This has been mentioned in another thread, but not under the bug forum and I haven't seen an answer.  When you use Blood Altar on an Ancient Healer, Eximus or Leech unit, they seem to continue to Heal / Buff your enemies and debuff you.  Is this intended?
