When you realize you're a Solaris

After watching and listening to this, and reading comments like:

"When one realizes that money is simply numbers used to measure the value of goods and services...and numbers can simply be made up...the solidity of the game starts to crumble."

"Fractional reserve banking is another odious scam. The banks get freshly printed money. Then they create credit on top of it. So for every 1 dollar they have, they lend out 9 dollars in credit. So now, there is even less fiat dollars for every claim on that dollar."

This is what happened in Greece when people rushed to get their money out of the banks...only for the banks to just shrug and say: "We're out of physical money.". I knew banks could get money from the central bank as much as they wanted (to cover for unpaid loans for example, the bank never loses anything if you don't pay), but didn't know about how these loans work in truth.

And the irony of it all is, that we, the masses, are holding these people in power with our work/productivity. No wonder politicians are always demanding more jobs for everyone. And to imagine that with simple regulation as the professor in the video mentioned, we could at least win over inequality economy wise...but the people in power are too reluctant to lose that power. Imagine if normal people would be allowed to have the right to print money. Money would lose it's meaning, it's worth. It would just be a fancy piece of paper. For something to have value, something else needs to be invaluable. Therefore the very nature of money, to be worth something and to exist, is inequality. We are still so very primitive despite all of our technology. If you can imagine an alternative for money, it would require so much more of self-control and advances in human nature (like completely dispatching the hunger for power from your mind) that is truly a distant dream. In a way, we are living in the Matrix.

Also interesting tidbit of info about London at the end. xd We truly are just like the Solaris people, and it's just plain insanity. Recommend reading some of those comments there.

The simple truth is, capitalism is the best human invention in the history of mankind. It has saved the most amount of lives out of any system of invention ever, period. It allows one to work and produce some ‘cool’ in order to receive something ‘cool’, it’s basically forced altruism.

Any attempt at chasing a utopia only ever ends with distopia, as I quote Jordan Peterson, ‘the death of over 100 million people in the name of utopia’, simply put any tried system of finance has utterly failed and killed millions of people in people’s dillusion of overcoming equality through equity, a system which is evil at best.
