Kitgun Vanishing Act

In two instances I have seen that should the Drahk Master disarm a kitgun, that weapon is not only invisible, but it is unable to be reclaimed off the ground, pretty much gone.  This can be easily replicated in the Simulacrum, and in one unfortunate instance, during a mission.  This was with a secondary, the kitgun, and melee weapon, hovering over the indicator on the mini-map and holding [X] whilst attempting to switch my weapon yielded no results other then a feeling of loss.
