As our mind are running around the whole solar system as our body, still froze inside the cryopod, hidden somewhere around the world for Capt Vor to find? What if the simulation was created by Cephalon Simaris himself, where you fight, and farm in a reality that does not exists as he feeds on void energy? Just a stupid sanctuary onslaught thought. Every single story in every piece of fiction (be it books, movies, TV series, games, you name it) can be thought in such terms of being a simulation or in the mind of someone. At the end of the day, this is a resolution similar to "it was all just a dream" which is in the top of lamest resolutions in everything that has to do with fictional narratives. Reality itself, as we perceive it, could also be a simulation. From our perspective though, it's real enough for this to not matter at all.
