There is no such thing as a genetic code for kubrow. x)

Kubrow are the dog-like companion, and Kavat are the cat-like one.

To get a kubrow, you need one kubrow egg. To get one, go to earth, and smash kubrow den (https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Kubrow_Den) until one drop an egg.

To get a kavat, you need 10 genetic code of kavat... and those are a pain to farm, be warned. x) You need to go to the derelict, and scan wild kavat. Then, you have a (way to small in my opinion) chance to get a kavat genetic code.

One last thing you may have been confused with, are "Genetic Code Template" (https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Genetic_Code_Template).

Those aren't mandatory to make a Kavat/Kubrow.
They're used to "save" an already created companion by creating a template. Once you have a template, you can recreate a copy of the original companion, or mix it with another template to create a new companion who share some traits of both the templates.

Eggs are acquired by destroying Kubrow's den on earth's basic missions.
Genetic codes are acquired by scanning kavats in the Derelict, there is a drop-chance on those it's not 100%. ( Kavats are invisible, use a scanner to see them )

Both also have an alert giving respectively (1 Kubrow egg) or (5 genetic codes)

Here's the info you needed pretty much.

I'm wondering: are you talking about Genetic Codes, or Genetic Imprints? Kubrows don't need Genetic Codes to be made, so those don't exist, but you can make a Genetic Imprint of a Kubrow once it's hatched, and have the option of using two of them when creating a new Kubrow. Using them increases the chances that the Kubrow you hatch from those imprints will have characteristics from the parents that the imprints were taken from.
