For the remainder of the mission, moving your mouse (camera control, gear wheel, options menu, basically everything but the chat window "free" cursor) causes massive frame drops (from 200+ to single digits). Bigger drops the faster the mouse is moving. It only affects the mouse. No issues when using a gamepad to spin at high speeds. This is a new bug from the patch when the rifle was changed to be more like the fishing spear. It actually looks like the bug compounds over multiple equips. The game reverts to normal when entering a new mission, but as soon as you equip the rifle it returns to full-force, persistent from however strong the effect was before.
