Kitgun still dealing non-crits after exceeding 100% crit chance

The kitgun I used to encounter this is Tombfinger + Haymaker + Splat.

I encounter it against several enemy factions, namely the grineer and corpus, where I still achieve white, non-critical hits despite getting above 100% critical chance.

I have reproduced it both with AND without the Pax arcane enhancement installed, but am still unable to confirm if the damage is from the primary impact or the splash damage.
