Surely you have some too! And if you do, post them below or discuss and help others flesh out their ideas! Anything from a theme for a warframe to an ability to something more or anything in between, its all welcome here. It would be cool to see a frame idea go from bare bones to fully fleshed out in concept from this thread! Have fun! Similar to equinox but not based on duality more so...different forms that can be swapped between. Keeping a similar theme of each form changes how the abilities behave slightly. All I know gameplay wise is their 1 will be the ability they use to change, most likely working similar to how Vabuans mines or Ivaras quiver works, tapping 1 to swap selection and holding to transform. Perhaps maybe each form has a faction theme, like the forms could be: Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Orokin. Something of the sort. Maybe Sentient themed? Or perhaps Spoiler based off of Sentient Mimics, like Revenant is with the Eidolons. Not much else other than that as far as ideas go. 2: Meatshield. Talk of Garuda on devstreams before we saw gameplay talked about her one producing a meatshield. Now, while we did... technically get a meat shield, we didnt get a meat shield. Get what im saying? I mean a warframe with the ability to pick up enemies and hold them ragdolled infront of us to take damage. One idea I had was maybe it picks up a group of enemies and floats the enemies around you in a ring, forming a tight circular shield of enemies around you to block incoming damage. Then maybe being able to shoot the enemies out like projectiles at other enemies. How badass does that sound? Picking up an enemy (via telekinisis or with your damn bare hands ), making them soak up damage then punting them back at the attackers. 3: Aggro sponge. Perhaps the above ability may belong to this warframe, maybe not. But a warframe based on gaining the attention of enemies, for buffs to the team or themselves. Like say, they get damage reduction based on how many enemies are targeting them as their passive? No idea for abilities but something to draw aggro would be a cool idea I think. Maybe paladin esque? 4: Giant warframe This sounds kind of reminiscent of idea one, but maybe more of a focus on this one special thing. Imagine if there was a warframe based around Atlases conclave rumbler ability. Like, become this larger warframe that cant do parkour but can run really fast, deal massive damage with large armounts of range via sweeping attacks, bashes enemies out of the way while running normally...Like almost a reverse chroma. Like, instead of shedding the skin, you gain the skin and your abilities get enhanced. Thats all I got. A warframe thats like a nephilim from a game called "devil may cry", which focuses on kicking enemy behind with style 😎. Hope it has a angel/demon vibe to it though. A warframe that transforms into something more animal like. I was told to use valkyrie but she is not there. She still feels way to human with them baby claws and human screaming. Turn me into an alien from alien vs predators, or a werewolf/werekubrow. That is animal like. A warframe thats able to fly with wings to make people feel like an angel of death A warframe thats phantom like, having the ability to go through doors to avoid the stalker and not have to wait for teammates to open doors. To scare the death out of enemies, and to help make players feel like they are an actual ghost like, when you disappear as this warframe you should really disappear. Teammates cant even see you so that when you reappear you even scare allies. A eating warframe. I eat enemies for breakfast lunch and dinner when playing warframe lol, but i think it would be lovely to actually be able to eat them A lava warframe, i enjoy watching my enemies burn but i also enjoy seeing them boil and melt A law enforcer styled warframe. Idk why but i like the feeling of being a cop or lawenforcer, give this warframe transitioning energy color for uniqueness A hell like warframe or devil, this warframe id imagine would have the ability to summon towers, monsters, tear enemies to bits, and possibly have the ability to fly or grow. Maybe I've fleshed it out enough to post in it's own thread but the rough idea is this: Spoiler Coyote is another rejected Zanuka prototype, rejected due to having some issues with Alad V's control collar. The Tenno discovered that this was because a fragment of it's component warframe's consciousness had slipped into Coyote, rendering it closer to a Warframe than a Zanuka, hunter or otherwise. Although unable to wield melee weapons, Coyote's fast legs render it very speedy, and it can run across walls. Coyote looks like a slightly smaller Zanuka, with blue mechanical parts and a white and blue main body. a MOA-like turret mount is between it's shoulders, where it stores all weapons (helpfully also obscuring the triggers and mechanically reloading them with no need for an animation other than maybe just the gun dropping down for a bit), along with it's missile launchers on the shoulders. Coyote's tail is a leafy Kavat tail instead of a short Zanuka tail. Syndanas go on Coyote's back, behind the weapon mount. Description: A rejected Zanuka, Coyote shares a number of similarities with it's "sister" Valkyr. This powerful hunter's quick speed and brutal claws will leave your enemies no room to breathe while it's missile pods rain seeking death. Coyote is a limber quadrupedal Warframe. It has an extremely fast movement speed, and is rather short, but fragile. Most of Coyote's health is shields. Health: 50 (150 at level 30) Shield: 80 (300 at level 30) Energy: 50 (150 at level 30) Passive: Hunting Posture: Coyote cannot equip a melee weapon, instead using the Predator's Claws, an intentionally powerful melee weapon which deals mostly Slash damage, and attacks very rapidly with high status chance but low critical chance, and dealing much more damage as a knockdown finisher. The Predator's Claws are unique to Coyote and cannot be unequipped. He can also run across walls by holding space and has an unlimited aim latch. Coyote cannot run across ceilings. Ability 1: Pounce: (costs 20 energy) Coyote leaps forward, dealing Slash damage to anyone in the way. This attack has high knockdown chance and high critical chance. Coyote jumps about as far as a standard double jump, and can be used midair. This is a 2-handed (pawed?) ability. Ability 2: Stomp: (costs 30 energy) Coyote raises a leg and emits a short-ranged shockwave MOA stomp, dealing 20 Impact damage, and has a moderate chance of knockdowns. This is a 1-pawed ability. Ability 3: Ordinance: (Costs 15 energy per missile fired) While 3 is held down, Coyote's back-mounted missile pods will start firing homing missiles at a base rate of 2/second, much like the Odonata Archwing's Seeking Fire. These missiles do a base 50 Explosive and 10 Impact damage. This ability is a 0-pawed ability, meaning it can be used alongside anything else, as long as 3 is being held down. One press will by default release 2 missiles. Ability 4: Eradicate: (costs 70 energy, plus 15 each second after the first 2) Coyote pounces between all enemies within a 30-meter radius, dealing a special attack against each of them that deals additional damage or automatically using a finisher. Imagine like pushing a button ad going into Archwing melee mode. Coyote cannot use any weapons while performing this attack and is open to enemy fire. Do you guys have any thoughts? And as she maybe got a bit to much defense I have an alternate skill for her, but not really an idea if this would be better. The name is just a placeholder as I didn't come up with a good one, if you have any suggestions let me hear them. New Frame "Erza" Description : A highly agile but armored melee fighter that uses her telekinetic skills to direct multiple blades (9) at her will. Stats : High Armor (500), Life (100/300) and Movement (1.2), low Shield (75/225) and Energy (100/150). Passive Resilience : The less Health that "Erza" has, the more damage reduction she gets; she gains up to 95% damage reduction the closer she is to death. 1st Ability : 5 Energy/Blade Throw one of your blades at an enemy, dealing Puncture damage and knocking him down. If you land a headshot you gain 10% critical chance for 5s. Holding the key throws additional blades in the same direction (up to a maximum of 9 Blades) With Exalted Blades active : You form a circle of your blades and throw all at once. Every enemy hit will be dealt damage and be knocked down. You can charge the attack up (by holding the key) to deal additional damage. 2nd Ability : 50 Energy Dash forward and get a movement and manuever speed bonus of 1.3/1.35/1.4/1.5 x for 3.5/4/4.5/5 s (Referenz Saryns 2nd Ability). Using movement-keys will instead perform a dash in that direction. With Exalted Blades active : Every enemy in the path will be dealt the (base) damage of the blades. 3rd Ability : Nimble 2 Energy/s Nimble is a channeled ability, while active you gain 30% Evasion. With Exalted Blades active : Your Blades will parry incoming projectiles for you without hindering your Movement, but you cannot attack while parrying. 4th Ability : Exalted Weapon/Blades 2,5 Energy/s Draw your Exalted Weapon and gain Boni to all your Abilities. Deals primarily Slash Damage. High crit chance, no status chance. Bullet jumps add the (base) damage of the weapons to their dealt damage. Alternative Skills : 3rd Ability : Call to Arms 75 Energy Call out to your allies (and Companions). But for the time being: Super-elite enemies that can spawn occasionally in the last couple enemies of the starchart or more frequently in sorties/arbitrations. Calling the Grineer something like the 'Queen's elite' and the Corpus ones the 'Profits'. They possess slightly better weaponry but most notably, better tactics. Generally speaking the 'Queen's elite' have good combat tactics that, whilst easy to deal with in a vacuum, become dangerous when deployed in a real combat scenario. For example, Queens Elite troopers will actively pathfind away and around the largest group of their comrades to try flank stationary Tenno targets, or Queens elite Ballista will seek the highest ground they can find that still has a line of sight to a target, and will prioritise aiming for Tenno with high damage dealt statistics or those not moving. The Profits are generally buffing units flanked by a special guard unit. Speaking Orokin (AKA English we can understand) they give generic 'Praise profit' speeches which empower Corpus with certain properties - for example, immunity to abilities over a very wide range similar to Arbitration Drones (But without the invincibility, because nobody likes that part.). I drew a lil' concept of his body, as i couldnt come up with a head. Anyhow, Ability ideas, going with A. For the Walking Hive idea, B. for "Larvae, degarding" type, C. For the Undead one 1. A/C. Carrion chucks out a glob of his fly infested flesh like a grenade, it explodes, causing a gas cloud, as well as letting out a small number of "Ravenous Flies", which home in on enemies and start doing damage, they give him health, B/C. Carrion emits maggots that eat a target, and B/C. Carrion charges down an enemy, and bites them, taking health, and giving him health. 2. A/B/C. Engorge, Carrion eats nearby corpses, this changes depending on which version, so im gonna go through em, A. Carrion gains more health, his other abilities turn more powerful as he gains strength, and he gains health for said corpses, B. Carrion builds towards his stack called "Engorged", he gains permanent health, however, this Stack has a drawback, starting at 0, Carrion is constantly losing health, when he reaches 10 stacks of the ability (so say for example 10 people eaten), this HP drain stops, and all subsequent stacks just amplify his max health, he needs "Engorged" to reach his 3, and use his 4, and last, C. Engorge stops his HP drain, but instead of making him have to use those towards reaching 3 and 4, he simply grows more powerful the more he eats. 3. A. Not sure, B. "Chrysalis", Carrion temporarily goes into a cocoon, emerging from it in an "Adult" form, capable of then using his 4, and becoming noticably more powerful, but can only stay in this form for a temporary time as it expends his stacks of Engorged, and C. I'd say this is a good idea. It may not be as edgebro as alot of my stuff is or like as like "flowy and styly" as current frames but its very unique and one thing warframes are missing that is a big part of the game "Horror" also maybe throw in a little bit of metal in there, yaknow like a terminatorish ribcage, or something borg looking so u know its technology! for the helmet, think terminator, but ninja with fleshlike deteriorating with more holes for bugs? that would give it def a badass look. I've had this little idea brewing in my head for a while, and even after all this I still can't make up my mind on its gender. So here it goes. Hope it isn't too OP. The original name was going to be Corinth until a friend told me there already was a gun named Corinth, so meet: Armarros/Armarria His first ability is fairly basic. He breaks into pieces and those pieces can reform around a closely packed group of 1/2/3/4 depending on ability level and crush them together like Nidus's 4th, just dealing way lesser damage. It isn't a guaranteed insta-kill. I'd like to call this one 'Reformation.' His second one is pretty influenced by Ice Chroma's elemental ward, except it's more personalized and still involves him breaking up. He shatters into pieces and reforms on a teammate giving the teammate half his original amount of health and shields, effectively becoming a suit for a Warframe that shoots. Whoop. Imma call this 'Assert Dominance' because why the hell not. His third ability. The first and last one that doesn't involve him breaking into teeny tiny pieces. For every enemy he kills, whether with a weapon or ability, gives him 5/10/15/20% of the enemy's health and armor. This effect stacks when Assert Dominance is active on a teammate, meaning every kill the teammate gets counts towards this. A suitable name would be 'Assimilation.' His fourth is the virtual opposite of his first ones. He absorbs all the dead bodies around the field, and the more bodies there are, the larger his range can get (he's a dome when fourth is active) and he literally can expand to a maximum of 10 meters across the battlefield. Not really useful in missions like sabotage, assassinate or capture, but he should be half decent for survival and defense. Spy. I never was good at spy missions, so none of these abilities are stealth based.While in dome form he shoots out pieces of dead body/rocks? at enemies for a tiny bit of damage. Teammates can go in and out as they please. Let's call this one 'Greater Good', because I suck when it comes to names. And yes I am aware this is really op and the 2nd ability is going to be very hard to animate, but for DE nothing is impossible. I hope. Also unless you're a really noble guy the 2nd ability probably won't be used much. You're a suit of armor that shoots pistols or stabs people. Yay. You go wherever your 'host' goes. I would post the full details but its a lot to post in one reply. Lastly, I have a few other ideas that are still very much in early development. - A warframe based around building up speed and then using that speed to boost ability damage and range. This would use a gear shifting mechanic similar to a vehicle. - A raceway for a new motorcycle like vehicle. This would be all very corpus themed, you would take on sponsors that would grant you unique rewards and mods based on who you're racing for. - A series of "prime" warframes based around a quest line and each warframe representing one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Each warframe would have a unique weapon/ companion slot that can't be swapped out but would have a very special affect or ability tied to them. - A paladin warframe that uses crystals to create weapons and pillars to buff allies. - A PVP warframe that uses the abilities of other warframes as if they were mods. Meaning you could run embers fireball and frosts snowglobe on the same frame, exclusively in PVP. This would allow people to create unique frames to their preference while also not letting it interfere with PVE elements. - A gundam inspired warframe that primarily uses blast damage and lasers. I tried this one before but received a lot of backlash for its overly "mecha" look. So this one might just be a dream. - An actual axe/ maul weapon that isn't classified as a heavy weapon or a sword. - Dragon companions, or at least genetically modified lizards that resemble dragons in some way. - A bug themed warframe that creates bug monsters like in Stephen King's The Mist.
