Does Mods Vanish?

hey, i have a lil question, does mods vanish? like the recourches and orbses?

In normal games, mods dropped by enemies dont expire.

Only mods that drop from containers in the Void despawn after about a minute.

Also, any mods from before a host migration disappear when you try to pick them up.

The mods with a red glow/outline are the ones that vanish.

 

If the mod has no red hue, it won't vanish.

Not sure if it has changed, but I know for a fact that at least until early August any mod that at least one person did not pick up had the potential to vanish if too many drops appeared. Mostly would see this happen on defense or mobile defense, where ammo and energy drops would be littering the ground in such quantities that unpicked up mods and crafting resources would just depop. Always seemed like the game prioritized mods and crafting resources to disappear first, too.

 

Have not really been paying attention the last few weeks when I am on though, so maybe that was fixed. Otherwise, mods/ammo/resources/orbs dropped from enemies stick around pretty much forever.
