Hunter Synergy and the Zenith

When I slot hunter synergy on a kubrow while i have a Zenith equipped the kubrow gets a crit boost based on the zenith's primary fire mode, crit chance 10%. Does anyone know if hunter synergy is based on the Zenith's secondary fire crit chance of 35% when using that weapon mode during a mission? I dont know of any way to even test it.

I think the crit chance is based on the Primary fire only just like with Bow's it's based on non-charged shots. However at least it is a portion of the modified crit chance instead of the base chance.
