Idea I Had For The Alert System (That Probably Isn't New)

So recently I had some bad luck with an Alert or two, and was just thinking about them in general (it was late and I was sleepy), when I came up with this idea: What if you could temporarily buy old Alerts?

The way it would work is that when the clock resets (or whatever its called when you get revives back and the Daily Login Reward) a list of the Alerts that happened during the last cycle/day appears, and you can buy one or two of them using either a high amount of credits or a low amount of plat (5 at most). When you buy the mission it will as long as it did last time, but it will now work like Void missions where you either have to do it by yourself or invite others/be invited.

Also the lists don't last forever, when the cycle resets its replaced by the newest "old" Alerts.

Thoughts?

It's a good idea in theory, but a bad idea in practice and for business. Let's take the Orokin Catalyst/Reactor alerts; if everyone was able to get them, DE's income would get reduced significantly.

its a 24 hour alert, and they're usually only triggered after a livestream. it wouldnt have to much of an impact :/

nice idea would be into it.

Im lacking 3helmets and often i dont notice when one of them is alerted,

even with warframe alerts installed (which doesnt play a sound when an alert comes, dont know why)

so thumps up

Seems like at some point there was talk of a room in the dojo, Like an ops room that you would buy a BP an craft the key (mats req) to do a mission. It may have been proposed by a player on the livestream. Good idea *push to back burner* <-- kinda response by DE.

I could always be wrong.

If you use Steam I would suggest joining the Warframe Alerts group, because they only update when there is an Alert with an extra reward and have so far not missed one yet (its how I got my Vauban Chassis, Systems, Scorpion and Vespa helmets. Also Pangolin and Dark Sword.)

Also when they update (forgot to mention this) a little Steam overlay will appear telling you what the Alerts is and the rewards.

Or you can download a warframe app so the phone will wake you up 4 in the morning to do an orokin catalyst alert...

Alerts exist for a reason. The automatic ones are never compromised. You can't just bribe the enemy and say, "Hey, can you hold off for a few hours? Some Tenno haven't arrived yet to destroy your base ..."

I'm talking about the RNG alerts. It would have an impact because so many people would be getting Orokin Reactors and/or Catalysts.

Someone really has potatoes on the brain, i dont think anyones specifically talking about them here. I agree with what your saying tho.

Friendly bumps for an idea you like/believe will improve the community or game, are not such a bad thing.

I think it would be fair to pay X credits or X mats for a rng alert "key". Ofcourse DE would give them appropriate % chance to get, compared to the demand of items. Would make a good low chance money/mats overflow solver. Login rewards is a good example to go by, and its free.

Its not like DE will make it rain reactors but the topic was never really about that anyway.
