HC217 Posted December 10, 2018 Share Posted December 10, 2018 like the title says, just fix the "set and forget" problem by making ember an actual caster, so whenever she casts an ability, she gets X seconds of WoF with a 10m radius. then add a heat component to her where she can maintain heat by keeping WoF up, which buffs her weapon damage and abilities. she'd need a new 4th, which would be Immolate. she consumes her WoF passive buff, pulls in all fire hazards (including the ones made by full cast fireball) and enemies with fire procs within 10m, and adds them to her heat meter(the enemies take the remaining heat proc damage when the cast pulls it from them and adds that damage done). this way she can scale as a damage frame, but she has to lose her aoe and cc to do it. it adds synergy to all her other abilities wanting to give and buff heat procs, and allows her to shine (literally, since her new 4 will get an augment that lets her trade weapon damage buff for blinding enemies that look at her, aka she's blindingly bright) thoughts and suggestions? New passive damage buff can be great if the buff only for Allies and not Ember herself. Heat component or Heat Meter that accumulate whenever an ability cast. Which also doesnt drain until used by new 4th ability. 0-100 points to reach maximum. Fireball - 10% Accelerant - 20% Fire Blast - 50% Immolate the new 4th ability is pull ability but also pull fire hazard created by Ember. This new ultimate is a great idea since stationary ability made by Ember is terrible. Pulling the fire ring from Fire Blast while CC enemies with the new ability is already great. Pulling the fire ring from Fire Blast while CC enemies with the new ability is already great. yup, plus it adds some risk/reward to her kit. hell, they could even move the casting speed buff on accelerant to the passive, since the point of it is to maintain with casting lots of fireballs and blasts. not sold on her heat component being capped or percentage-based, though. i think the point of immolate is to help her scale into enemy hp/armor values since heat becomes useless quickly apart from the proc. that's why she sucks in enemy heat procs, to add damage at the cost of cc. it also drags those mobs closer, so a bad (afk/immobile) ember will die pretty fast if you don't plan for that vulnerability or get greedy.
