Ermiq
As title says, I feel like it's wrong that my Kubrow is taking offense at me because he'd managed to die somehow. Moreover, he's dying very frequently and I can't help it. Further more, he's lowering his damage because of that. Are those Kubrows not supposed to be combat pets? Maybe they are just house pets like a hamster or parrot?

rand0mname
Strange. Pets are pretty durable. What mods you use? Have you not forgotten to give DNA stabilizers to it? It health drops every day for 5% if you do not. Pets AI can be stupid. They may happily sit in the electrified water or Infested vomit. But you can always rez them? It will not get angry, if you do not abandon it to bleed out.

Yeah, I always am trying to revive him, but still, at some missions he dies every 2 minutes (in toxic clowds, in electrified water, in heavy gunners and turrets bullet showers). Once upon a time I've been at the boss assassination mission, and my Kubrow was dying every 10 seconds (it looked like the boss was killing him with one-two hits), Kubrow was standing under a ladder, and I was forced to sneaky walk down there slowly, getting punches from the boss and his friends while reviving my "combat companion", and then the boss just been killing him again and again. I just gave up. I mean, there're only 2 options: kill enemies or revive Kubrow. 36 минут назад, rand0mname сказал: Strange. Pets are pretty durable. What mods you use? I'm a newbie solo player so I don't have much mods yet. I'm aware of stabilizers, yes. I'm trying to keep DNA stability at 70% and higher (I need a lot of credits on other things and I don't have much credits, so I don't keep it on max). Oh, yes, infested toxic things and electrified water are hell. I don't know, maybe when I get prime mods and such, it will get better, but so far even with Oberon pets are just glass cannons. I'm in tears in real life from laughing at this. ________________________________________________________ Kubrows & Kavats are actually extremely tough when modded properly. The Endo Investment in Link-Health, Link Shields, Link-Armor, & most importantly Medi-Pet Kit make them VERY hard to kill & easy to revive. Additionally, this may sound crazy, but like in real life if your Dog or Cat (it can & does happen) is fighting alongside you....YOU need to fight alongside IT. The AI in game isn't "amazing" but the Pets do tend to think for themselves somewhat like a real pet. So while you may want to call the shots, sometimes they will make their own judgement calls. When that happens you need to back them up like they back you up. Whenever I see that my Kavat is having issues or might be overwhelmed I come to his aid. If he is downed I break the enemy lines & revive him. If I notice that he has hit his limit (frequent downs) I revive him then extract. Like if he was another player you can only push them so far. But once you've modded them enough they can go further than many players. (That hurts to type...)

Leyers_of_facade
I always take my cute fluffy smeeta with me on high levels. She has 6 formas and doesn't really die a lot in missions. However, the main issues is that in order to mod her for the maximum protection, you would have to spend a lot of mod spaces on mods like link health, link shield etc, and this becomes an issue as compared to the flying piece of metal, their mod spaces are also needed for damage mods such as maul / bite etc Perhaps we can have a different mod space (eg valkyr's talons, mesa's regulator etc) that is purely for damage mods? That way these pets would manage to keep up with harder contents as we can put all the protection mods on them and all the damage mods on their paws / claws
Legion-Shields
I shouldn’t be surprised anymore by how often people let their pets bleed out. (PSN)Tactless_Ninja
Your Kubrow/Kavat's longevity is going to be tied to your frame/playstyle. If you're a melee tank character a Kubrow benefits you more with a lifesteal and health and armor build. For Caster long range types a Kavat with shield link and health regen would suit you more. Etc. Edited December 11, 2018 by (PS4)Tactless_Ninja

AzureTerra
Given most of the pet mods derive their stats from whats on your warframe, yes you can help it. If you run no defensive boosting mods your pet is going to be as flimsy as you are

But, yeah, Kunrows are insane little tanks, when modded, potatoed, Forma'd and scratched in the right place. You'll get there OP. I would suggest looking up Kubrow mods and where they drop on the wiki though.
BETAOPTICS
https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Link_Armor - https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Link_Health - https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Loyal_Companion - https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Medi-Pet_Kit - https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Pack_Leader - Here are links to basic few good mods to look out for. I run almost all of them in every build, with the exception of either excluding Med-Pet Kit mod or Loyal Companion mod from the build sometimes. Those mods work especially well for tanky frames. Note that link-type mods take % value from your Warframes stats, which is why Warframes that have high HP and Armor are good choices for companions who will get high stats as well from proper modding. Soon there will be flat value mods that will be more useful for squishier Warframes as well. But let me pass on a few example builds I have to showcase how to build: Raksa Kubrow: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Raksa_Kubrow Howl: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Howl Protect: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Protect Animal Instinct: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Animal_Instinct Hunter Recovery: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Hunter_Recovery Pack Leader: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Pack_Leader Bite: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Bite Link Armor: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Link_Armor Link Health: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Link_Health Shelter: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Shelter Med-Pet Kit: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Search?query=Med-Pet+Kit For stats comparison using Oberon with fully maxed out Vitality, Primed Vigor and Steel Fiber as well as all companion mods maxed out, the stats of the Kubrow are as follows: Armor: 496 Critical Chance: 43,0% Critical Multiplier: 9,6x Health: 2 600 Shield: 310 Status: 5,0% Slash: 304,0 Notes: The above Kubrow build is not build for Oberon specifically and in this comparison I have not used min-max build nor Oberon Prime. The Kubrows durability is helped trough the Med-Pet Kit passive health regeneration, as well as the stacking of Pack Leader and Hunter Recovery giving lifesteal from your Warframes melee to the Kubrow, as well as having a whopping 2 minutes and 30 seconds revive time, which is plenty of revive time for them. Additionally you might not want to have utility and life convenience mods like Animal Instinct or Shelter, or damage mods like Bite (I'd recommed other damage mods instead of it, or more than simply Bite), and yet with all these mods the Kubrow is extremely tough and does quite a bit of damage as well. They can, albeit rarely, get stuck in environment hazards like Fortuna electrified water and there is not much you can do for them then. But that is more of a problem of outdated AI pathing algorithms and since then introduced environments rather than a durability issue of the companions in of themselves. Maybe they are just house pets like a hamster or parrot? How are they dying...on missions, or in your Lander? If the former, thats normal...they are not great at soaking up punishment. If the latter...learn to look after your pets properly. Interact with them and give them DNA stabiliser shots every so often. Nothing needs changing (except maybe buffs to make them better in combat)...looking after WF pets takes a lot less time and effort than looking after real ones.
