"Kill 20 enemies that are on a drop ship while invisible" not working

I tried this many times in the Plains with my Ash Prime, but no matter what I did, the counter didn't increase. Neither blowing up the whole ship nor picking off single enemies had an effect and I was invisible every single time. I used Rubico Prime and that should be precise enough.
