Riskbreaker Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I don't like mod system,it just doesn't make any sense. Turn them visually into suit implants and split them into three groups, system, armor and head. For weapons make them like parts.. ...and yeah...flashlights,rly we are space ninjas but we don't see in dark without, who knows how many millenia old flashlight.Rid$&*^ would kill us all without any problem. Improve hud and give us some nightvision implant aka mod,and option to turn it on/off, this game is great wish you DE,best luck.cheers
Stormandreas Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 The Mod system works fine. Your the first person I've heard who doesn't make sense of it. It works, its already been overhaulled once, and its doubtfull it'll be done again, ontop of that, how on earth do you propose making the visual ques for 'implants'? What would be any benefit to doing the System Armour Head loadout.Making them parts for weapons would severly damage the asthetics of the current weapons, and wouldn't work with others. So you want the range of a Latron but ammo of an Ogris, how would this work at all?The mod System is by far the best most benefitial system for Warframe at the present time.
Sairielle Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 i dont agree with the first idea but the nightvision and hud improvement is pretty good. might as well also give us infrared and xray vision too(not being sarcastic. im serious)
Taihus Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 While the mod system doesn't make much sense in terms of realism or as a concept, you must remember that this is a video game first and foremost, and the mod system works pretty damn well and is very unique compared to, say, a skill tree. If you want you can imagine them as suit implants and enhancements, but really in the end what you're suggesting is a visual overhaul of the mod system that takes time and effort away from more important things, such as refining the engine and balancing the game. Besides, I doubt that a single person driving a tank and operating the turret at the same time makes much sense, or that eating food instantly heals people, but, hey, it's a video game. You've got a point about the flashlights, although I've gotta admit that they're pretty atmospheric in areas that are actually dark.
Riskbreaker Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 I didn't meant on does it work or not, mods on "field" works very good,Taihus understood me in some parts, yes i was thinking on realism and only that, but implants and schematic of warframe in menus not visible implants on frames when we fight, just menu and for weapon mods they would be more like, customizable parts.thats all. Tnx GenCarter for not being sarcastic :)
Lers Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 The implant idea has some cool factor in it, but thats it really. We have visual skins and Dangly Bits incomming, so dragging the mods into that is just nonsensical. DE also stated that they made a mistake by giving visual alterations stat modifiers (i.e. helmets), and that they wont do it in the future. As for the flashlights... just give me a friggin' button to switch it on. Some of the maps can be damn dark withouth it. Nevermind if a Volt blows out all the lights too.
