Casardis
Can you elaborate by what you mean on spark? Do you mean on enemy/surface contact?
Deaths.Reap3r
I think he means like in the movies and stuff, when metal clashes against metal or something, sparks appear...

Casardis
That could be cool. I think there are already a few sparks effect, but a bit more wouldn't hurt, except for those with lower end graphics and such (or those who just hates seeing all those colors on the screen XD). Exo594
But, that's not realistic, even in "Footor tekz", unless blades vibrate and are made out of sandpaper. Also, Infested aren't drawn armored, and neither are Corpus for the most part. Corpus bots, Grineer troops? Yes, those are armored. But honestly, this would turn me off to the game just a hair, unless it were for a specific lore reason.

Noogums
Just apply it to PhysX. If you have that turned on, you know full well what it'll do to your performance if your PC can't handle it.
