Antimatter Drop not appearing outside Venera vault

Casting Antimatter Drop between the console and the door of the Corpus 'tower' vault on Venera (the one with the lift down) doesn't work, and the drop simply doesn't appear, or disappears almost immediately. I noticed this when casting to remove cameras inside the vault (I hadn't noticed yet which vault it was). I took a video of it.

 

I haven't tested it anywhere else, nor have I tried to replicate it outside of this one mission.
