Trouble Finding Sunlight Threshcone

Just wondering if I'm missing something. I've looked in every forest level on earth during the day (at least, when POE says day, i assume they're on the same cycle), but so far, i've only ever found moonlight threshcones. Am i missing something, or is the quest bugged for some?  i'm on PS4, btw. not sure if that makes a difference.

keep your scanner out. 

if you are finding moonlight threscones that means the planet is on the NIGHT cycle. you have to wait for the DAY Cycle.

The night day cycles is 4 hours.

They are not.

Just click here, and scroll down a bit. You will find the day/night-cycle for Cetus (PoE) and for the planet earth.

They are not on the same cycle. there should only be sunligh treshcones in day and moon on nights.

That is toatally correct. PoE runs a 1 hour night, 2 hour day cycle while the rest of Earth runs a 2x2 cycle. You will need both for the silver grove quest, plus a few other day/night related Earth plants. The easiest way I can tell if it is night or day is to just let the cinematic play while loading into an Earth mission. As you will notice a considerably darker theme, so to speak as your orbiter drops you off. Eventually you will probably want to farm the spectors for the mods they can drop and to complete codex scans of them.
