Weapon just disappearing

I know that one type of enemy will tear your weapon out of your hands. But, sometimes randomly in missions my weapon will be yanked out of my hands and just completely disappear. It's no where on the map. I have sometimes seen it appear outside of bounds on the map, that's about it. I think this  started happening around when the Arbitrations update happened.
