When to dodge and use transference?

I've seen many people mentioning how new players don't know when to dodge or use transference properly. To be honest that is definitely true for most new players, me included. So I was wondering when to dodge and what the point of transference is endgame other than eidolon hunts? I've seen people leave their warframe and then almost immediately go back in. Why is that?

I just use them in a way I feel is right. dont really know of a "BEST" scenario for either.

As for immediately going back it could be they use one or two magus elevate to heal their frame

To activate skills via Void Dash or Void Mode. Most likely Energizing Dash. Next time look if you regenerate energy really fast

Energizing Dash (Void Dash to regen energy) or Magus Elevate (chance to heal frame on transference)

Zenurik spam melee to slow. Void dash to get position,  quick get away or have frame play decoy. 

I like Nourish because if you stay in Tenno for a little while as with Eidelon, you get a nice heal.
