Was I correct in Reporting this guy.

Okay this is weird. In all my time playing this game (10 months) I have NEVER come across a jerk. Now since today mesa prime is out I go to Hepit (void) and farm. I come accross two dudes (I will not name them because I don't want to nameshame). At the end of the mission this guys just said. "GET OUT OF HERE!, SCRAM!" 

Then he left.

I contacted him and tried to talk to him, but it didn't work out. Here is the conversation.

Me: That was rude

Me: I hope thats not how you talk to all players

Him: sounds like your jealous

Me: What

Me: Im just wondering why you said what you said

Him: imagine being this upset.

Me: You are not making any sense.

Him: yeah * i make dollas

 

So what on Earth went on here?

You should have just ignored him and moved on.  Why linger on something stupid like that?  Seems pointless to be upset because someone wrote a mean message in a video game before leaving your party.

Yeah I suppose I should have even if I was shocked. I just....it was in the spur of the moment. I hope everything works out fine

I would be annoyed as well if someone messaged me like my mom.

I mean obviously he was rude and knew it. But aus would you even go and message him is beyond me ^^

To answer All your questions. Oh jeez I hope I don't sound too old.

My parents forced it into me that if there is a problem,  talk it out. It never occured to me that he could be like that.

With people you care about, sure, that can work.
With random people online...wouldn't recommend it.

I honestly could not count the number of odd messages, rants, insults, etc., I have seen pop up in the mission chat window.  As others have noted already, best to just let it go as the randomness it most often is.

It gets better when you play a frame like volt and you call out someone like that's playing Limbo. They try to spam banish you but has not effect on discharge so I could care less and just makes them more mad. (In one case I had a Limbo chase my operator around trying to banish. #stupidpeople)
