Using melee on the orbiter

Hello,

Just fooled around on the orbiter and found out this strange feature. If you have synthesis scanner bound to a hotkey, then go pet a companion, and then use the hot key for selecting synthesis scanner, you are able to melee on the orbiter and perform all sorts of melee related manoeuvres. The scanner interface does not appear.

I searched around on the forum I see that 2 years ago, this was already pointed out since U18.

Not sure if this is kept just for fun.
