Hystrix doesnt work on the orb mother

At the beginning of the orb mother fight the poison mode of the Hystrix works one time.
After that however I switch the modes just the punture deals damage when the orb mother allows puncture damage.

If I wasnt clear: I mean that the hystrix doesnt deal damage to the orb mother when it allows cold, poison, electric or heat damage.

its possible that Hystrix doesn't convert the damage to the element but rather it makes the status proc the status selected.

This is correct Hystrix does not add an element it just forces procs.
