Confirmed 50+ "Orb Vallis Somachord" locations & suggestion for DE [Updated]

So, I've been running a bit alone and a bit with friends around Orb Vallis to find all the Somachords to get all 7 songs. Took us probably around 4-5 hours to get them all.
Since I couldn't find any maps with locations etc. only people struggling to find them, I've decided to mark them on map and post here.

I've found overall 21 Somachord spots.
It's enough to make it easier to find, you dont even need anything like Khora warframe, just the loot detection mods on and Archwing and just fly low above the surface. Go out to Orb Vallis choose the path for loop you want and just check out all these locations, when you find one go back to Fortuna and repeat.
Do it with full team of 4 people! Will be easier if you struggle doing it solo.

There is only 1 Somachord per session. Each song requires 4 Somachord scans.
Keep in mind that you can find Somachord twice or even more in the same spot,
so before doing another loop always check the location where you found the Somachord last time.

You should find one Somachord after another for one and the same song.
When you scan 4/4 Somachords and unlock the song it will be replaced with another song next time you go to OV.
At least its how it worked for me, but then again I've been just doing this through 4-5 hours straight, no breaks.
Also I had 1 or 2 situations when I couldn't find them in ANY of these 21 locations and that is why
I suspected there might be more than 21 locations though it could have been a bug with spawn as well. 

So in case anyone encounter a new location... you know what to do.

50+ Somachord Spots marked on the map. Good job guys! However I won't be updating it anymore as of now,
but by all means you guys can continue this for your own convenience.

I also have suggestion for DE. 
Dear DE, if you guys wanna keep Open World Somachords the way you made it, but make it easier for some people... then at least choose some permament spots and place them like for example all 4 Somachords for 1 song in one "sector" on the map, so it will be possible to find them all by entering Orb Vallis only once. I personally don't mind looking for them it's actually cool thing to do for me, but reentering Orb Vallis every time to find only 1 Somachord was indeed a bit annoying. I understand the same system was used here as it is on normal maps, but in reality it's not that good. Even though I found so many spots alone and with friends and have all the songs already I still think permament spots would be better idea.

The one-per-session rule works fine for normal missions, but NOT for open worlds. The normal missions's maps are small so the somachords are relatively easy to find on them, but the open world maps are HUGE. It can easily take you over 10 minutes to find the somachord on the open world maps.

I was worried this was gonna be INSANELY difficult. Especially when I still don't have a good graphics card and have to play the open worlds in a smaller window just so I don't get dizzy from the lag. I managed to find my first scan in that building just south of Fortuna, then my second scan right next to the Temple of Profit. Sad thing is, I'm kinda meh about the Ventkids songs and that's the one that's scanning first for me. So really I gotta scan at least 6 more times to get a song I actually want. And my eyes can only take so much squinting lol. 

Overall, the diagram's been insanely helpful so I thought I'd bump this since I can't actually find this thread by searching forums. I'll try to add any new locations I find in case DE updated the spawn points at all...

Hello! Sorry for digging up an old topic, but I don't want to start a new one.

Also: thanks TartarusLane for your research (and also everybody, who helps with this and others map 💖).

I wanted to prove that the Golden Instinct works on Orb Vallis (I see entries on Fandom and on Reddit that ppl say that it doesn't work...). You only need to be in the area of its occurrence (even though when you enter the map you get the information "the area is barren"). Unfortunately, I do not know how close to Somachord (I think, up to 570 meters <with max range>; the rest of the usual missions are similar - right at the beginning after using the skill does not work, but when we run a few hundred meters it starts to work).

hi, I found something I don't know if it's already been found but it works for me. So the orb valley somachords work like this: there are specific places for the somachords that start the song (they will disappear after you scan them) and there are the others that never disappear and have fixed locations that allow you to complete the song. my map is the new war map.

I found a way to accelerate this grind after New War patch, not sure if you have to finish the quest first, but it's very likely you do. So there are the somachords that have a permanent spot for the new war songs, but they can help speed up the Orb Vallis songs. 
First you have to find a somachord from the map already provided, after that you can go to one of the somachords from the New War songs, like the one that is on top of the fortuna elevator, filling the remaining 3 dots.
And of course use golden instinct to find the first one faster.
Unfortunately you can't use the New War somachords to start a new song, but at least it makes it 4x faster

that is literraly what i  was saying, some somachord are permanent, these can complet song but you need to find the somachord that start the song and one more info you can only scann one time a permanent somachord in a single mission. That's means you need to find the somachord that start the song, scan one of the parmanent somachords extract, come back in the orbis scan one more time a permanent somachord.

Only found out it's back up because I've visited forums to check something and saw the notification about it being shared by someone.
This might sound controversial a bit, but looking for these back then was kind of guilty pleasure thing for me until... I found them all. 😂 

I'm glad it helps those interested though. That's the reason it was created in the first place after all.

That's definitely good news for people who might be potentially interested in finding them all. 
I suggested something partialy similliar in a way to what they've done with these "after NewWar patch Somachords".
Here's hoping it's not just a temporary glitch, but actually intended thing by DE.
