Is SPOILER MODE skin meant to be metallic or reflective?

Just curious about this since lately I've noticed my operator's face reflecting light as if the cheeks or skin were made out of plastic or metal. It's very noticeable in Fortuna's backroom and in operator voice transmissions (The reflection looks like a scar).

Is this a recent change in art style to make them look less human or is this an issue with art or lighting?

No, I've noticed this as well. First caught it while walking up the left ramp toward the Void Relic Segment area. The lighting there makes the Operator's skin appear quite metallic. This isn't the only area it happens but it is where I first noticed.
