Mission Fail on host migration

I just did an excavation run on Everest, after about 8 digs it was too much for the others to keep up so I went to extraction. The others kept dying and decided to abort rather than extract and it caused a host migration that failed. Because of that, I failed the mission, lost all my loot and my weapons/frame received NO affinity whatsoever; I lost the affinity I had gained during the mission reverting my Fang Prime to unranked. This is not the first time this has happened, but probably the most frustrating, losing a good half hour of grinding.
