[Value Added Suggestion]Challenging The Idea Of Primary Vs Secondary

Should we be given the option to more completely customize our weapon slots to fit our own personal preferences and the demands of a current combat situation?

Let's say, for example, that you decide that you like the Dual Vasto pistols, and you wish you use those & the dual clevers only.  Or perhaps you want to use both the Sobek & the Lanka without a sidearm, and you'd like to equip your melee weapon on a hip scabbard instead of your back.

Here's a thought on how this might work (Spoilered to avoid a wall of text):

1)  The user interface of the Arsenal window has an additional level of selection that allows us to choose what weapon type we want to use in our slots.  This additional selection would allow us to not only sort by weapon type, but by the position in which it is stored on the body.  So in addition to being able to select between Melee, Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Sniper, Bow, and Thrower...We also can choose between:  Right Shoulder, Left Shoulder, Right Waist, Left Waist, Right Hip, Left Hip.

2)  You have the option of selecting the same weapon for Primary & Secondary.  If you do this the secondary slot is greyed out, and shows you whatever you have selected for the Primary slot.  When you do this, you only equip a single ranged weapon, but you combine the ammunition pool of both Primary & Secondary into a larger overall pool.

3) You have the option of selecting two different members of the same weapon family.  Not every possible combination would be possible, but some examples are:  two different pistols, a rifle & a shotgun, a rifle & a sniper, a rocket launcher & & a rifle, etc.  What could be equipped would be based on what body locations are required to house them.  You will always have to equip one melee weapon, and at least one ranged weapon, regardless of the loadout you select.

4) You have more choice in how you store your melee weapon.  This would allow you to free up various slots as needed for different weapons.  This also allows you to customize how you draw & wear your weapon.

   - Single-bladed longswords & short swords have the option of being worn on the waist or shoulders.

   - Dual-bladed longswords would have the option of being worn either on the waist or on the shoulders.

   - Daggers would have the option of being worn either on any of the slots.

   - Thrown melee would occupy a hip slot, even though it shows up on your wrist.

   - Polearms & heavier weapons will always occupy a shoulder slot.

5)  You have more choice in how you store selected ranged weapons:

   - Rifles, snipers, heavy machine guns, shotguns and rocket launchers are always stored on the two shoulder slots.

   - SMG's and the shorter shotguns could be stored across the lower back, occupying both of the waist slots.

   - Pistols could be stored on the hips, the waist, or the shoulders in holsters.

   - Throwers always have to be stored in either the waist or hip holsters for ease of access.

2 ACRID and never run out of ammmmooooo....

ops, if i pick a pistol pickup which Acrid will get these 20 rounds? Acrid or Acrid or Acrid Acrid? And the ammo box ?so confuse

Well with what you're describing, what would happen is you could pick the Acrid for your Secondary & your Primary.  You wouldn't get 2 Acrid pistols, but you would combine your pool of ammunition from both secondary & primary.  So you'd only have 1 pistol, but you'd have twice as much ammunition.

Welllll, so if i use Lex and Lex.....two Lex can let me quick switch without wait a long reload.....

twice as much ammunition is meaning less for Lex....

and combine ammunition pool from secondary & primary is meaning less 2, because we have Ammo box .

I think this idea has potential.
