Primary focus tree has multiple nodes but all are grey

I've already unlocked all schools aside of madurai and my current primary school is Naramon (XP farming reasons). The "Affinity Spike" passive ability is at rank 4 but still is disabled. Also, I haven't noticed any XP earning diferences. The sum of all the points needed for that tree is 7. Other trees like Zenurik don't have this problem.

Where is the problem?

You haven't activated and unlocked any abilities. you just added ranks to the first ability of that focus school.
When you activate a focus ability it will draw your focus pool - and it is still 13/13. Counting that - you scratched just the surface of farming focus.
