Atomos any good?

So I picked up the atomos because I have the dual zorens and thought instead of selling them for credits how about I get the MR from leveling up the twin basolk as well? 

I'm kind of torn because the atomos is actually stupid fun, is literally a flame thrower for your hand... Just so much fun.... Especially for those infested defense missions.

I just got frost today but I stand on top of the pod, pop snow globe, then turn in circles and burn everything. Is the atomos any good outside of this? Or should I just go ahead and make the twin basolk?

The atomos is one of the best secondaries in this game. Everything which lets you attack easily multiple foes is worth keeping and the atomos is pretty good in doing so. Ammo economy is not so good though and range is short IMO.

Damn. I ended up using it to build the twin basolk. Oh well. I leveled it to 30 in under an hour on Mars so shouldn't be to hard to build another and level.

Atomos is a top tier weapon, just has short range but the chaining helps compensate a bit for that.  It does require a decent amount of forma though to get to its full potential, but even just half decently modded it can go to level 60 enemies with the right elemental combo.

Atomos is one of the most powerful, useful and fun Secondaries, definately worth keeping.
