Going down at same time as cipher use consumes it but doesn't open door

In Kuva Fortress I was hacking a Grineer terminal and I used a cipher just a split second before I ran out of HP.
My Cipher was consumed but the door didn't unlock so I had to hack it again.

yea, it's related to the cipher finishing animation that got to finish to count as completed, also if you get pushed away in the final animation it won't count as you completed the cipher.
