Highlighting things on the map is fine enough—it gives enemy alertness, looking direction, and a 360deg view for the player—but the only way to take advantage of it at all is to pull attention away from the action. It's disengaging. It'd be nice to be able to get some good use out of the mods without needing to stare at a 2D map. EDIT: Also give players the ability to turn the on-screen indicators off.
