Also if you'd like to read my original post I never actually made any assumptions about who would do what, you did...

Since you don't know how many staff members are actually working on this, you implicitly imply that there are staff members sitting on their hands when they could be doing something else. Yet have no specific knowledge of what the specialisations of the staff in question are.

it's about if it's something will the MAJORITY will continue to use

If this is two guys from the PvP team, what exactly are you expecting them to fix on the greater game? I just used examples.

Are these two guys supposed to give you a new 2 hour long quest? Are they supposed to solve everything in the game, by themselves?

it really does seem like you're trying to white knight

typical response...

I've made my fair share of criticisms in the past, and will no doubt do so in future. One of my most liked posts on here specifically calls out some of the BS DE have done. If you want to find it just search "Bursa farming" in google and it should be the top result.

when was the last time you played frame fighter, myself and most of my clan haven't bothered after the initial release.

I've never played it. But i don't begrudge those who do play/enjoy it, nor do i care who worked on it. It was a small project, worked on by a few guys, on the side. And it clearly shows. I don't recall it striving to be anything other than a goofy side "thing", and in no way an attempt to seriously make it a proper fighter.

it is quite simply a waste of resources.

The problem here is you don't understand what "resources" means. You make the assumption that this is in some way equal to the effort needed to make a mainline addition.

As is said initially (which was clearly wasted), if you have free artists, what are they to do? Can the artist help with this? Probably not. Can the render programmer help with this? again, probably not. The artist will go off and help other artists on assets that are WIP for upcoming titles, and the render programmer will be working on tech for the coming updates, or something from previous updates.

So how is this "wasted"?

Those who are working on the mainline stuff, will be working on the mainline stuff. If you have a few staffers free, better to have them do something, that someone might enjoy, then have them sit around doing nothing... having them do nothing is the definition of wasted resources.

Cool if we do see racing. However..

If they're doing racing i hope they disable collisions between other players and dont throw items in that disrupt either players either.

I hope they do something original something like a jetski, or jetstream where slipstreams, air washes and positive and negative turbulence flows effects speed. No collisions though as collisions and the momentum disruptions were unbearable in lunaro.

Once again you're trying to make my point invalid by making out I've written things which I have not.

No matter how many staff are being utilised for this game mode it is taking staff away from other areas which they could be working on, it really is that simple.  You can try and argue that this is the 'conclave staff' doing this but iirc devstreams have said there are no specific teams for areas of the game, staff are allocated to work as needed for the next update.  It's why we've had devstreams say they've pulled staff off of x to work on y projects for the game to hit deadlines which then delays project x.

Actually I do understand what 'resources' mean, I run my own business....

You keep going on about artists not being able to work on the coding to try and prove you point yet you seem to be completely ignoring the fact that I also mentioned areas which were specific to the 3D artists...

Also you do realise that the bit I've highlighted above is basically the exact same thing I've said from the beginning.... rather than putting them on an entirely new game mode, put them to work on the upcoming content or fixing the existing content...

With the amount of bugs/issues in game, both visually and in code, that DE could be working on there shouldn't be any free staff to do this game mode...if the game was in a 'perfect' state then yeah fine, use the resources to add in the mode but the game has a lot of things that need fixing or could be being worked on that are far more important than a mission type which is basically going to be run point a to point b as fast as you can...
