Currently both means of obtaining kuva are boring AF and don't offer much of a reward. It would be cool if doing the sortie every day increased the chance of getting rarer rewards, over the course of a week. It would be similar to making a relic radiant, where the odds are tweaked just slightly. If a sortie is missed your odds would be reset. At the beginning of each week your odds would be reset. This would get people more interested in them and make them feel worth doing, plus it would reward you for playing every day...
