Self detonating traps, explosive barrels, and EMP.

i like the idea that explosive barrels react to acustics, they are sensitive to sound and light changes and will explode if the player isnt careful. The change isnt for all the barrels in the game, but say the player want to collect a stack of ayatan stars from a redlocker, he can open the door or use the scanner, other drums will just explode when players are too close to them, they should be protecting something, not just explosive barrels, but doors too need changes, so that operators have to shoot and deactivate some things, maybe the enemies always drop keycards, just have to hack-in to a console, the keycards can open redlockers, doors, and also smaller chests.

emp would negate abilities for players, enemy shields do that, but its not good enough to base this on enemies, there is plenty of machines and natural elements, crystals could negate and enhance some game aspects, they could be shoot or have to be advoided, will absorb bullets, and more.
