Helmynth Cyst

So I have this Helmynth Cyst on one of my frames. Every other time I've gotten it, I've just had it removed. Is there any reason to keep it? Like does it unlock something or do I need it to get some mission or item? Like I don't understand the point of it. If the only reason you have it is to get it removed why is it even there in the first place? I just want to know if there's something I can do with it before I get it removed for like the 5th time.

You can drain it as part of kubrow breeding in the incubator to get an infested version. There is no other benefit as far as I know.
