Devstream #124: March 1!

Hi all!

Due to the shortened work-week this week (Monday was a holiday), we are moving the next Devstream to March 1! We are taking some development work the final mile this week and are all focusing on that. 

We will post next Wednesday with the info thread!

In Devstream 97, we were shown two proto skins (Bronco and Lato), which would be released as a part of an upcoming event. What is the state of these skins after one and a half years? Are there any plans on releasing them?

Personally I was really fond of that Bronco skin and I have since been looking forward to obtaining it.

If we're just kind of throwing general questions and concerns in here: PLEASE look into adjusting the "sentinel" survivability mods you made equippable on pets. Their values are extremely undertuned for rank 0 pet stats. Link health to a 225 health Loki gives more than the maxed-out vitality gives to the highest base health pets. They're supposed to be a moderate option that gives pets a better survival baseline when paired with squishy frames while still allowing the fun situations of linking to durable tank-frames, but they fail at that completely.

edit: frankly I think companion survivability needs a more thorough reconsidering in general; it feels like it was all designed for a very different state of the game than how it's moving. Most sentinels are rather squishy, but that often worked fine because they were rarely targetted and AOEs were less common. Now a lot more enemies have AOE attacks that will hit sentinels by accident, and any time you go into the increasingly-encouraged operator mode, enemy agro will rapidly switch to demolishing your squishy motionless sentinel.

I seriously hope that includes the nyx and titania re-visits to get them done right and the fact that after completing capture missions, no enemies show up.

Any plans for a hunting mode in the future?

We have conservation but nothing more serious.

Considering Ivara and the Cernos Prime flavour text, along with the Kubrows - hunting seems a part of the tenno culture but we don't have missions for it.

Perhaps even having weapons, armour or syandanas to make from the kill.

  • Any chance to PoE grinding changes;
  • Pets 2.0;
  • Cephalon Samodeus lore or something(some fragments across world like kuria with some stories) with it;
  • Companion/pets commands system;
  • Any warframe add in Arbitrations droplist;
  • Old quests replay;
  • Limbo deluxe;
  • Seasonal events (winter event?);

  • Wukong rework (or mb not? he's ok);

Will we ever see methods of pet interaction in battle, like:

  • commanding them to a specific place,
  • maybe slowly revive a downed ally through a mod or kubrow race,
  • checking for enemies a specific area
  • using instinct and animal senses to sense loot ( in this case mostly organic stuff would make sense),
  • guarding something/ someone command, upon which the pet will prioritize attacking units that are dealing the most damage to the object/ ally that is supposed to be guarded?

Any chance we'll get the auto-burst treatment for burst weapons that are less accurate/meant to spam fire more, like the Hema? I'm sure some other burst weapons needs it too.

With Hildryn and Wisp release the ratio of female-male frames becomes 1:1.

2 new Kavats incoming

Chesa is getting a rework, Steve described it as "chesecration".

So you can cross those three off your list.

At least I won't be missing anything to play Anthem loading screen simulator with Warframes javelins. Good luck with the mainline!
