Mod Farming: Survival Vs Defense (Or Defence Depending On Where You Are)

Depends on your preference to be entirely honest. Defense favors a much more passive play style, survival invites a more run and gun attitude. Defense as a result tends to be "easier" to farm since people are announcing their mods more readily, but survival can beat defense simply because it's easier to survive for lower level parties than it is to defend so there's less early quitting.

and the next point about survival: when your party decides you've had enough, you can simply run around like mad (whilst avoiding O2 pickups) and end the game whenever you feel like it.

in defence you have to wait for the next 5-wave mark to leave

Now that they have extractions I thought you had to go to extraction to finish it? I know what you said was true during the event... Not sure anymore though.

Most rare mods like Split chamber or Hell's chambers won't drop from enemies, so you can't get them from survival, but in in terms of sheer affinity and mods for farming, its probably survival -> mobile -> defense.

 

If only people actually played survival instead of going until wave 5 at Xini and quitting for 4k affinity.
