Valkyr's hysteria keeps the stored damage even after turning her 4 off

So, as title say. In the last couple of days, valkyr's 4 keeps the stored damage even after you succefully turn the skill off. So if, lets say, you turned the skill off with 10k of dmg accumulated, next time you turn it on, the 10k dmg will still be there. 

I have searched through the latests patchnotes, to see if this was an intended change, but as i have found nothing, i can only assume this is not the intended behaviour. 

I have tried several ways to "clear" the stored dmg, including gettin on an archwing on the open world maps, or jumping in a hole. And the only way that actually seems to work is... well, by actually dying.
