Do you have/What's your most memorable Warframe death(s)?

There are many silly ways to die in Warframe, I'm sure at least a few of them have stuck with you.

Mine was probably the time I learnt Nullifier bubbles can reflect Ogris projectiles. A full 180 return to sender.

Another was fighting the assassination target on Ceres and finding out Warframes were subject to Status Proc deaths, this example being my Rhino Prime's torso being severed in half by slash procs.

I was playing a sortie with rad (ya rad you know your going to die no matter the frame). It was a escort (or what ever it’s called with the squads of 4 and infected) while escorting the 3ed squad to the end and realizing we had lost all but one of the escorties I saw my Allie sitting in the rad clouds and trying to down allies and fail the mission for us.

lets just say the did that. I don’t think it’s stopable but I’ll remember it for sure.

best one for me recently is the "surprise Nightmare Grenade":

turns out the reason was because enemies can throw grenades the moment they see you if they are already behind cover (enemies always alert in Nightmare), and if they time it right, you will run into the grenade, before you know it's there, right as it explodes, sometimes without hearing a single beep (Grenades beep to let you know to GTFO). guys were throwing grenades really far in front of me so that when I ran through, I get killed. grenades also do the 300% more damage that all other enemy attacks in Nightmare missions do, so getting in caught in one is certain death, unless you're running Inaros or Hildryn, which I wasn't at the time.

so yeah, if you ever suddenly get killed and Ragdolled Sonicor-Style in a nightmare mission, this is probably why.

Shooting the Larkspur's charged shot at a closed door many meters away, and watching it bounce directly back at myself and instantly dying.

shot a lenz at enemy grineer commander. before it landed and exploded, the commander did the old switcheroo with me, and i died from that lenz explosion. it was....quite nice actually.

Instantly dieing in Arbitration; (Rhino, with 9500 iron skin and max armor and health) (back when it was first released), using the warframe log to research why I died, only to see:

took 1 damage at 740 health from a NULLIFIER CREWMAN using a SniperRifle

Which still happens to this day, and now it also happens on Orb Vallis.

 

Maybe some day they will fix it, don't hold your breath.

Just a moment ago.

Wolf spawned in a Kuva Flood. Hit him with my Galatine: 1200 damage.

Wolf's minion threw one molotov: My 930 health 800 armor Umbra in full health became a flying corpse in the following moment.

Wolf despawned immediately.

Calling the scaling in this game stupid is clearly an understatement

And a few more insta-deaths happened mid-bulletjumping which I can't even tell how I died.

Doing a radiation sortie in the void with Negation Swarm Inaros and a teammate playing as Valkyr did the neck snap finisher on me while irradiated and killed me instantly. Total accident of course, but I didn't know finishers could be done to teammates until then so I was very surprised.

A couple, yeah.

All the way back when I first encountered the wonderful fellows that are the Grineer Commanders. This was pre-nerf, so there was no delay, no warning of any kind, and full animation; just out of nowhere floating T-pose, screen distortion, and having no control over my frame for a few seconds, while a Nox and a bunch of Lancers ganged up on me to death. Scared the Hell out of me into running Saturn missions with nothing but my Rhino after that, and to this day I still consider missions like Telesto off-limits to any frame except Ivara, just because of those Commanders.

Then there's one last week; I was doing a Nightmare Mobile Defense mission on Lua for Nightwave. I merrily went to hack the first console, only for the screen to start flickering. Crap, I thought, Sentients are here. Then, just as the Oculysts were buggering off to bring in the Battalysts to fight me, a little dialogue box popped up on the bottom right side of my screen. Ole' Wolfy decided to use this moment to ruin my day. I was stuck simultaneously trying to defend the console, fight off two Battalysts, the Wolf of Saturn Six and his three fugitive buddies in a high-level Nightmare mission. Only one thought crossed my mind:

After dying twice in very quick succession, I managed to fight off the Battalysts, protect the console at around 1/3 health, and complete the mission.

Most memorable lately, doing the 1 hr Kuva survival with my clan mates. We wanted to knock out as many nightwave challenges in one hit as we could so we all equipped a weapon with cold damage on it. I was Frost for the team so I had that covered with Avalanche. About 40 mins in, chllin and having fun on vc, 1 of my team mates gets rad procced by an eximus while swinging wildly with his cold melee weapon and FROZE the FROST in place entirely. I can recall standing there unable to move and just seeing the Kuva guardian leaping at me with his enormous polearm and just thinking, "well Sh*t"

Funniest enemy kill I've ever seen however just to add, PoE, doing the Assassination of the bounty, killing enemies around Twin Horn Lake and Lotus tells me the target has come out for a fight. He came in by drop pod and cratered smack bang down the middle of the geyser, mission accomplished 😄

I was just standing there, finished mining, took 1 step & died.

I was like: "Did I drown?" *imagines Cetus Doctor coming to Plains, seeing my corpse*

"Doctor what happened?"

Dr. "His lungs are filled with...water?"

Like seriously...

It laughed so hard. Eidolons? No problem. Stalker? No problem. Army of Grineer? No problem. Empty field? *dies a dogs death*

Use Lenz. Shoot oxium osprey as it charges towards me. Osprey explodes on impact with Lenz arrow killing me instantly

Defense mission running Zarr. Taking out crowds of Corrupted in single shots. Then a rolling ball goes right in front of my shot and insta killed. Turns out Octavia's (squad mate was Octavia not me) rolling ball likes to do that as it happened once more after that. I made sure after that to not be near that roller or it would have been three.

The year was 2013, back when Hek was king and Grineer spoke English while hanging out on Corpus ships.

While grinding my shiny new Volt to rank 30 I had the misfortune of running into 2 Seekers. I got hit with the buh-doom buh-doom of death and was left with 13 health. I quickly ducked into a small closet and thought "that was cl-" before I could finish my thought a Latcher that was attached to my ankle blew up and killed me.

I'm pretty sure I'm still the only player to have ever been killed by a Latcher.

Wasn't a death but I remember being turned into a warframe pinball running at full tilt on the grineer mobile defense map with a large multi level place and lots of places to fall. While running at subsonic speed I was abruptly stopped by the loud PING! of a grineer shielder saying NOPE! and knocking me the fk out with his shield, then as my volt picks himself up off the floor I got grabbed by a harpoon and dragged screaming off in a new direction. When I was able to pick myself up from that and jumped to attack them, an arson eximus promptly yeeted me off the edge for a respwawn with his flame aura...

Not a death (though it was close) but while trying to get the hang of my K-Drive on the Valis I wound up glitching on one of those long jump ramps, somehow I fell off my K-Drive, ragdolling all the way, and wound up shooting across the map at a glitched velocity so high that I flew several thousand meters in about 3 seconds, I somehow crash landed near the Temple of Profit...right at the feet of the Exploiter Orb.

I had 14 hp when I got up and out of range of its attacks.

I was betrayed:

I put down a Valkyr Specter, I had a Lenz.

I hit the enemy with the Lenz, the Specter Riplined that enemy to us.
