[Please Read Before Posting Threads] What Is And Isn't General Discussion?   03/31/2016

Tenno, Recently a lot of forum users have been posting feedback, bug and question threads about the game here in General Discussion, only to complain when community moderators or forum staff move their thread to the appropriate section.   General Discussion is not for feedback about the game, for bug reports or for help questions, we have other forum sections specifically for these things.   There are a few criteria for determining what feedback is and what general discussion is, but the two main criteria are the following: Objective - The goal of the thread Target Audience - Who is being addressed with the thread   A feedback thread's objective is affecting the game; be it through negative feedback (change is desired) or positive feedback (change is not desired). And a feedback's Target Audience is the developers; your thread is directed towards DE, they are who you are making the thread for. If either two of these criteria are met then the thread is most likely feedback (and belongs in the appropriate feedback subforum).    A general discussion thread's objective is not to affect the game, it's to hold a discussion. And the Target Audience of a general discussion thread is other players and the community, not the developers. For example, a thread titled "Which frame do you like the most and why?" would be a discussion thread, because its objective is a discussion about what players enjoy, and it's audience is other players.   Ultimately, a lot of what determines whether a thread is a feedback thread is the opening post. Although feedback threads can have discussions in them between players, this does not make it general discussion. What it boils down to is the goal of the thread and who it's addressing. It's a thread for conveying opinions to the developers, and people are bound to agree and disagree (and therefore start a discussion on said thread).   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   If you post something in General Discussion and find that it's no longer there, chances are it's been moved (if it was merged, we will try to notify you via private message, but sometimes when we have to merge a large number of threads we may not be able to). Here's a helpful guide for you to figure out where it might have been moved to:   Players Helping Players is the forum for when you have a question about something in the game or need help with something game-related--such as mod builds for frames/weapons, build comparisons, how to craft certain things, where to find components/mods/enemies, strategies for bosses, etc. Guides, solutions, tips and tricks can all be placed here. With hundreds of thousands of players, there's bound to be one that has experienced the same issue as you and has figured out how to solve it! PC Beta Bugs, PS4 Beta Bugs and XB1 Beta Bugs are the places for threads reporting malfunctioning parts of the game, bugs, things that have broken, et cetera (you should really make a support ticket too!). Fan Zone is the place for fan fiction, fan-sponsored contests, screenshots to share your achievements and Warframe-related video streams/Youtube channels. Fan Concepts is the place for concepts for new systems, warframes, weapons, and gameplay mechanics. PC Trading Post, PS4 Trading Post and XB1 Trading Post are for all things trading on the respective platforms. Threads looking to sell, buy, and trade go here, as well as any price checking. If you post a thread critiquing changes or content in the game, it's likely been moved to one of the Feedback Subforums, the guide to which is below.   Because feedback threads are by far the biggest offender in General Discussion, I've put together this guide on where feedback goes, breaking up and explaining the feedback subforums (Feedback forums are where the devs go for feedback regarding the game! Not General Discussion!). The list is a bit lengthy, so it's been put in spoiler tags:     So, for example, if you make a thread in General Discussion saying something like "The lore really needs work, and this is how I think it should be done" then it's probably going to get moved to the General Feedback forum. If you're dissatisfied with a recent patch or update and want to give DE a piece of your mind, the Specific Feedback associated with your platform (i.e. PC Specific Feedback or PS4 Specific feedback) is probably where it will get moved to (it may also be moved to the other feedback forums depending on what the thread is specifically about).   Wording is also very important, and your choice of description is also. This is why many people mix up feedback with discussion. In discussion, you are talking about things that are current, not commenting on how cool or disappointing they are. For example, 'What do you think is the best frame? I like Valkyr because of her focus on melee.' is General Discussion, whereas 'Valkyr is a really good frame. Her melee animations are nice, and her abilities compliment eachother well.' is feedback.     tl;dr - We have specific subforums for feedback, bug reports, helping players, fan-made stuff and so on. General Discussion is not a "catch-all" forum, and for the sake of keeping things tidy and organized we'd really appreciate it if you didn't treat it as such!   If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, please feel free to post them here or to send me or the other moderators a private message!

Where are they, what Defense Mission or Mission drops them as a reward? Do they even exist?

No seriously look up Void key drop rates

Raid and Survival t3s were never part of the drop table!

They exist. My clan mate got one earlier.

They seem to only drop from survival missions.

Think you would know or ask your friend what planet and mission he did?

Guys, guys, I got this. Neko. Go do high level survival and make it to at least the 15+ mark. I went to Phalan on Eris and bailed at the 20 minute mark and got a T3 Survival as my reward. I hear the reward pool caps at 15 minutes and anything more won't exactly mean better rewards, but don't quote me on that. As dangerous as parroting is, it's all I've got to go on at the moment.

EDIT: Welp, judging from the score on the post above me, 15 minutes isn't even a requirement. Ah well, more information I suppose.

As far as i can tell Survival is all RNG. Even if longer matches give 'better' loot it's probably not by enough compared to going to 5 over and over.

That wouldn't surprise me. But I'm going under the idea that only the good stuff is likely to drop at the 15 minute mark. I've done a couple dozen survival missions over the weekend and every non-void run I can recall where I bailed before the 15 mark always gave me a cipher. Of course that could be a matter of me only remembering the disappointing rewards.

On the other hand, if it's like defense tiers, then it would be more efficient if you go for the bare minimum on appropriate tiers and repeat.

I would assume it is a tiered system like the defense missions. It would be highly unlikely to have a t3 key drop in a planet system known to have tier 1 or tier 2 defenses at 5 mins on survival. I would think if you go anywhere below lvl 40 or 50 then 15 mins is a safe bet.

According to defense tiering. But if anyone can confirm that it's possible to get a t3 on 5 mins in a low lvl survival than farm away

I got my T3 Survival at 15 mins from Nimus on Eris.

I don't know why everyone has this preconceived notion that 5 mins is the same at 15 mins. That is not in agreement with the in-game dialogue, and I have yet to see anyone say they got a T3 key from 5 minutes, all I see is people saying it doesn't make a difference how long you go, even though they have no way of knowing that.

Probably the same reason no one can get the systems, you probably have to do 15 minutes in a Tier 3 survival, but I'm not using my key until DE says "oops bugged drop rates LOL, buy more key packs, we fixed it."

I'd imagine it has to do with how random the survival rewards seem to be. For example, I've had a void key (not a t3 one) as a reward from extracting at 5 minutes, but on the otherhand I've also had a 20 minute run that rewarded a Cipher blueprint. Which seems like there is either a ridiculous amount of RNG at play or the reward tables are completely broken when it comes to time spent vs reward.

Ive gotten 2 , both from outer planets' survival. Made it solo just under 20 minutes n got 1, the other was a team effort just over 20 mins.

Have not ran it yet. Wasnt sure it would be wise ATM, with all the void randomness

After farming survivals for the past few days. I finally got a T3 Survival key from Palus 15m.

I am now a firm believer that time matters. Before I ran a 47m Palus and gotten a T3 MD key. I did another 40m+ run and got a cipher. Last night I ran a few 5m Palus and gotten a T1 Survival key. Most of my Palus runs have been 5-10m and always end up with ciphers and occasional parry mod.

It seems time does matter aeb T1 key 5m+ and T3 keys 15m+. I imagine you can get T2 keys from 10m+. Small sample size but it's just my theory.

If you want to farm Palus, it's best to do it as a 1-2 man group. I did 3-4man groups and the enemies seemed throttled. The enemies came less frequently, in smaller numbers (2-10), and drop O2 A LOT less. You will be exiting in 5-10m frequently unless you get lucky.

In a 1-2man group it's really easy to hit 15m+. I only stopped at ~40m because in a duo it's hard to kill fast enough to get sustained O2 drops in between O2 tanks. You're going to need CC for higher level survivals. The O2 activations get really long. At around 40m it takes ~20s to just activate it. I am not even joking. Just fyi for anyone wanting to survive longer for exp/mods.

boar prime parts scattered trough the diffrent void missions.

T3 survival is your best chance at getting mag prime systems.

the bluprint, helmet, and chassie can be obtained in T2, but sytems in T2 is as low as frost prime blueprint and have better drop at T3
