It just doesn't freaking work. The fact that you MIGHT fix corpses staying longer - might - doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

 

Just make it an AoE curse that makes enemies have a chance to drop bonus loot upon death.

 

Please.

I would rather like to see the life siphon instead of it.

 

If they aren't willing to even fix it in it's current form, they're not gonna completely rework it.

I just want something that isn't some meta-gaming magic-find skill. If they just want something that drops orbs to heal the team, why not just a lifesteal that transfers the health to the team?

They really need to change the power, even if they do get the corpses to stay its still a pointless power that takes a lot of energy.

Maybe it's because I use flow and streamline with energy siphon, but it's really not that high of a cost.

So yeah looting stuff is part of the game butI don't think loot as the end result of a power really works though. It's just not interesting. Powers should be for combat, not looting.

You playing solo or something?  Cause Desecrate works wonderfully.  Extra mods, extra materials, and enough life orbs to turn carrier into an invulnerability bot.

 

It's not merely viable, it's outright awesome.  Just have to use it correctly.  Stretch, efficiency, use it on groups, cast it more then once if you don't nail all the bodies.  Turns kappa into a pinata.

That's situational - if you use elemental weaponry (or your friends do) corpses simply desintigrate. Even if you don't, they despawn faster than you can blink.

 

It just isn't working as it should. I don't mind the core funciton of the ability, but they done goofed.

I do use elemental weaponry - a quad element flux rifle - and I do not have trouble with it at all.  I play with Novas and Saryns, and it still works fine.  The despawn isn't as fast as you seem to be making it out.

Whenever the smoke clears, there aint a single corpse in sight - unless you go spamming it mid-battle, vasting valuable dakka, you're not gonna be able to use it much.

use it right after nova's prime has gone off, use it right after stomp gets done, some one pressed 4? you press 2.

result?

health, ammo, mats, mods and then some.

 

Perhaps if you try to use this power on mercury it may be a bit lackluster, but in defense, survival, void and high level missions it is a wonderfull ability.

 

Maybe this power could do with a little tweaking, but saying it is useless is ridiculous. It just means you haven't used it in the right situations.

I don't tend to die as Nekros under almost any circumstance and it's due to Desecrate.

 

It works with elemental damage and it works with poisoned enemies. The timing is different and that's something to complain about, but it isn't broken.

Of course it isn't broken. It works. However, it could work that much better with a few changes. Like reducing corpse decay.

I just finished maxing my Nekros earlier today. Took him to exterminate, capture, defense, mobile defense, and survival missions. In most cases, Desecrate worked very well as it is now. This ability works well enough in to make it worth keeping around, sorta. Only change I'd like to see is a higher chance of dropping other things in addition to the useful health orbs.

To me, desecrate exists as it is purely to justify the existence of equilibrium. A chance to loot << reliable regeneration skill. As for credits/materials/mods - why does a skill even have to affect their drop rates?
