natinnet
steam workshop page sketchfab link It's still a WIP, so I have a question to more experienced creators: Is it possible to make a mesh swap with moving parts or animated textures? Because I want to make the central part of the "lyre" rotating and the strings animated, like in Octavia's first skill effects. P.S. Actually I was going to make not only the stave skin, but skin&helmet for Octavia too, based around Greece mythology like Inaros stuff around Egyptian one... I'm not sure if I manage to finish it till the next deadline, so I don't promise anything) Edited May 22, 2019 by natinnet wrong format

For the moving part, you just have to make the central disc as a separate part (still using the same texture set) and DE will handle the rigging. About textures, the only moving thing you have access to is the scrolling emssive. Basically, you put an alpha to your emissive texturing and it will scroll in one direction (adjustable into the Tennogen tool), so you can play with this and a smartly done UV to get some interesting result.

The only problem is that tennogen app doesn't support any format except obj and obj format doesn't support animation...

What I'm saying is if your creation is added to the game, DE will do the rigging and animation for you. So you don't have to animate it. Just make you make the mesh working for animation (so if you want a part moving/rotating, make it separate), and just include how you would like it to move in screenshots or include a .txt file explaining how it should work.

honorarykobold
This reminds me a little of the Zenistar tbh, and I'm curious what part of Octavia's design is this based on? I personally can't tell, I imagine it's subtle.
