I feel lied to by the Wisp agile animation set...

Look.
I know what DE did with that animation set, you know it, DE knows it. People buying that animation set are the same thirsty degenerates who bought the Octavia animation and danced in that room on Iron Wake. They want their framefu of choice to shake their butts in their face while idling and to have them hips sway while floating around the map.

It delivers on one of those things and I get it, it's the first frame with a completely different walk cycle compared to the others but would it really have been that hard to add it to the animation set? otherwise we're just buying idle animations which is still perfectly fine but I'd rather they outright say it's only idles now so next time I don't have to hope against hope DE deigns to give me the ability to change my other frame's gait.

You know, I have an in-universe explanation for why we like all those (don't open if you don't want to be spoiled):

Take a Zariman kid, teach them pretty much how to kill with likely minimal focus on other stuff, let them control frames that look alluring because Orokin values, stick the kids in The Reservoir, have them think they're the frames themselves, then have those frames enter cryosleep for thousands of years. You can probably guess the result of all that.

I don't think it would be that hard to add to the bundles. They already don't seem to mind/care/is low priority that the idles cause clipping issues(some on their default frames COUGHNezha agileCOUGH) like Mirage's noble and every single frames run/walk is exactly the same barring Wisp who floats. Like I said I'd rather they outright said "Idle animation set" instead of giving me hope.

they never gave you hope they specifically said on devstreams before this that it wouldn't include that and nothing changed in the shop where you buy all the idles you gave yourself hope based on nothing.

 

afaik it's not just clipping issues from the walking animation iirc it's because wisp doesn't actually have legs she has different rigging set up or something of that nature which would end up causing more issues than just some clipping.

See the no legs/feet thing is a valid reason though like I said I don't think anyone would care if slapping it on some other frame just made the feet go bolt straight and go into the floor.

I hope your not taking this thread as serious or me being angry/salty about it. I just felt like making a post about being denied my booty walk.

there's something different probably, but i wouldn't imagine its the rigging since she still works with the same melee animations as all other frames, which was only setup to work for the standard rigging ever frame has.

since they have already made it I don't see why they shouldn't add it to the market for other frames too.

The effort has already gone in, might as well put some more and monetize it. 

Could take a little longer to code in though.

OP is disappointed that equipping Wisp's idle anims on another frame doesn't make it use Wisp's movement anims.

So why would you expect something that you couldn't possibly know? If you didn't watch them you couldn't know about her specific walk cycles.

Something doesn't add up.

I may not watch devstreams but that doesn't mean gifs don't show up in my discord channels that more... deviant individuals frequent.

i've made a post about this exact same thing before the update hit but sadly they didn't include the walking/sprinting animations. fine i'm willing to pay extra for it, but without the walking animations the idles look weird and out of place and i'm not gonna bother with them.
