It’s your money! I’d wait for a discount code when you log in if that’s what you ultimately decide to do. Just to make it more worthwhile.

Also I’d recommend getting frames that will take a lot of grinding such as Ivara, Khora etc. Most frames from assassination nodes can be farmed within an hour.

Wait a -75% coupon and when why not ?

It's a game and for some bucks you have far more fun time that with a classic AAA solo game.

I take Nidus and buy some slots and never regret it.

Just some tips.

You will need endo and certain ressources. Dont buy them.

As soon as you obtain acces to Maroo Bazar you can do Ayatan Treasure Hunt.

You obtain  sculptures that you can trade for endo and (bonus) you can even return to maroo to do again the hunt.

You must finish it and second time the statue that you grab will not be a recompense (because it's only one time a week) but you can farm ressources from orokin derelicts (nonospores, plastids and argon).

It's a great shortcut.

Next you will need mods. If your unlucky some even basics mods (like serration) can slip through you fingers and it's not cool.

Try to join a clan or find friends IG that will be more that happy to give you some basic mods (flow, intensify, hornet strike etc.)

If you dont find kind people (i bout that) just contact me IG.

whether you want to pay money to skip some parts of things so that you can get to farming some other things faster, is up to you.
just remember that there isn't anything to win after you have finished farming everything.

No. spending money will not get you any meaningful content.  Most frames (non prime) are easy to farm and I would suggest doing that at your leisure, a couple runs here and there. Plat can be accumulated surprisingly quickly if have even a modicum of sense and patience - even just selling a bit of prime junk or statues here and there. You should be able to easily get 100pl/day without trying and that's enough to buy most prime variants, and in a couple days you would have enough to buy a non prime variant from the market should you feel like it.

If you have disposable income, enjoy the game, and don't want to farm for weapons or parts, and don't want to farm for junk then trade, then  sure - why not.  But its not like buying an access pass to new missions/game modes/etc type of content - its simply another frame or weapons.  But there really is no rush to get any new frame and none of it really unlocks any new content. Also, since we have no idea how much money you have we can't really answer the question for you anyway other than to say don't starve your pets so you can buy a warframe you'll only use a few times anyway.

Thtat's waht i would reccomend also!!!!
If wanna spend money, wait for the discount. It's not RNG ( not alleatory..). If you spend money often, you will recdeive very often 75% discount 5 euros= 400 plat. The algoritmo dooes that! Nice move DE..!! 😉
And if you love the game like i, its good ethics to spend some money to help the developers. Tht´s my opinion!

How much time do you have?

How much money do you have?

For me, I started on PC a few months ago. During the first couple months, I bought two 4300 plat packages, each with 75% off coupons. With those, I keep 30 day Affinity and Resource boosters running all the time, and have plenty of plat for slots and forma packs if I don't want to waste time opening relics and crafting formas. As to buying frames, I usually do not. Normally, the farming for frame parts also has another drop tied to it (like Miter parts from the same bosses that drop Frost parts, or all the mods that drop from Kela De Thaym along with Saryn parts).

On Xbox One, I still have ~2000 plat left over from when I bought a Prime Access and Prime Vault pack. On consoles, the coupons apply to Market items, so I usually just wait for a 50% or 75% coupon and buy the latest Warframe in the market instead of farming.

Money can get you things quickly, like if you must have Arca Plasmor right now (I did), but it can only cut the time needed to rank up parts in half (or quarter, if there's a 2x affinity weekend). If you have a couple hours a day to play, I'd say don't buy things to start out since there are so many things you need to spend time playing to get from RNG, like mods and resources.

Purchase plat if you want to. There isn't any stigma around players who purchase and use plat but make sure you spend it well. As everybody else here recommended use it on slots and on things you can't farm but I'd also recommend you see if you can purchase what your looking for from players (Cheaper prices, Prime version of gear, Greater variety, etc). If your going to do that then I highly recommend using this site (https://warframe.market/) to find sellers and prices.

You will need to decide how much is too much farming.

I personally try to farm any frame instead of purchasing, it's what makes the game fun after all.

I reserve all my plat for other things like slots, some nice cosmetics and the Occasional riven for a weapon I really enjoy.

I have purchased exactly 2 frames in my years of playing. Mesa cause when I got her she had a very poorly designed means to farm her. And there was an event where she was being sold at a significant discount. The other is Mesa Prime cause Christmas and was purely to pay DE for the work done over the years.

Every other frame I have farmed or indirectly traded for.

Play the game a few more days and see if you enjoy the grind. If not then you should only buy the frame or weapon you really  look forward to using.

DE is a very fair company, but some of their bundles are rather meh, so make sure what you are buying is something you really want.

The 75% coupon isn't as common as some people claim it to be. If you can't wait at least look for the 50 or 60% off ones. I too value my time so don't have an issue spending money on the grindier parts of the game.

The "pay or farm" question is more or less how Warframe runs. It is entirely possible to play without ever paying, but it'll take a heckin' lot of farming that way.

If you do decide to spend plat to skip some of the grind, I highly recommend you use warframe.market for trading with other players, to make sure you get a good price on stuff. Mind you many low-priced items can be gotten freely by just asking other players ingame, many of us have been farming a long time.

Also, most of the plat prices for weapons in the market or Darvo aren't worth it, though they do come with weapon slot/catalysts included. Most of those weapons have better versions you can't purchase directly (meaning, you gotta buy from players) anyhow.

if you buy frames, i'd buy their prime variant first. that way, if you ever do get the time and want the mastery, you won't feel like you wasted your plat - which, to be clear, if you buy a frame like vanilla frost, excal or rhino, it absolutely is.
