Odd cat UI? overshield glitch

Doing arbitration - my cat died. dead (as in we didn't revive it dead.)

then a teammate died.

we picked him up and when we did, my dead cat got overshields (I was volt w/capacitance).  but it was still dead. so UI showed 1000+k purple shields, 0 health.  but it was most definitely still dead - as in animal instinct/fetch etc not working and I didn't see him running around anywhere.
