Garuda's blood altar ability (2) makes scanned feral kavats not give kavat genetic code

Reproduction steps:

1) Locate a feral kavat on the orokin derelict tileset

2) Use blood altar ability on them

3) Scan them while they are immobilized by blood altar, noticing successful scan indication and affinity gain

4) When they have fallen off the altar (or manually released by pressing 2 again) check they cannot be scanned, indicating the first scan was successful.

4) Check mission progress to confirm you have not received a genetic code.

5) Successfully complete mission and check both post-mission results and inventory to confirm you have not received a genetic code

In order to rule out other causes, I will include a picture of my loadout: https://i.imgur.com/SMGafBa.png

...and gear wheel: https://i.imgur.com/hvEtXAg.jpg

(Notice I was also carrying a "decaying" dragon key on the gear wheel. I do not believe this to be related, but I will point it out because the loadout image only shows one key at maximum)

I recorded scanning 25 feral kavats in a row without receiving a single genetic code, all using the above steps. The chance of this being pure RNG (@ 25% officially listed drop chance) is absolutely minuscule.

As further proof I will provide several discord screenshots and their appropriate timestamps.

The above two were when I first realized there might be a problem. That is a 5/44 drop rate, or about half of what you would expect. I had not been using blood altar all the time, only when they were particularly difficult to catch.

I then proceeded to my above test, using blood altar on 25 more kavats and scanning during each in order to confirm the problem. (You will notice the amount of scans increments by 27 - 2 kavats were accidentally scanned without blood altar being used and their results have not been included).

As one last note, I do not believe this is an issue with the Jovian concord update. I have been plugging away at the kavats for roughly a week now, with some amount of the 44 non-recorded scans being kavats held by blood altar. Furthermore, there is a wikia comment dating from January 2019 ( https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/428776578630025216/581947178549772290/unknown.png  ) that seems to have correctly pinpointed the problem, and was what convinced me to do the test of 25 recorded scans.

oh honey...genetic codes aren't a guaranteed drop by any means. lol!

Please read my post again. The chance of 25 no-rolls in a row @ 25% chance each is so low that it is equally likely we are sharing a collective hallucination.

That is to say, it is not likely at all.

This bug is still present as of update 25.3.3.1.

Below is a demonstration of scanning 20 feral kavats in the simulator. Notice that I have 8 kavat genetic codes at the start - they DO drop in the simulator, but are removed upon leaving.

Except, of course, if you scan a kavat when it is suspended by Garuda's blood altar. That will never drop a genetic code, no matter how many times you try.
