Tenno needs a purpose

Recommended Posts

DE,

The Tenno needs a purpose. Looting is not a purpose for being. Killing endless evil enemies is not a purpose. The Tenno needs a reason for being, the last final protector against evil factions is good, for a start. Luke had Darth and so on. Everyone has been saying they want more lore, a story, a reason for being. The ultimate hero and against the ultimate villain, that one day they may face each other, or not.

Maybe I am late to the party and you already thought of this. But part of that are quests, I know Steve you are trying to move away from those due to complexity, but I think they are one of the most satisfying parts of the progression, and when I finished the quests, I felt like something was lost, in my opinion.

What? You mean something like an evil Lotus, who lied to us and now want to kill us?

We already have that.

As for the more lore thing, new incredibly big quests are on the way.

PS: also DE staff don't read general discussion

I kill because I can : )

On a real note I will still be playing this game even if they removed all story aspects

Even after we deal with the whole Sentients situation, we still got not-Tzeentch to deal with. That should keep us busy.

And who knows who - or what - the Duviri are.

Or what Empyrean is...

Did I miss something, or have they not released any details about what that will be?

My reason for playing-

To have my Warframe one day today off the harness if slavery that the Void Demons have on us and allow us to fully unleash our full power that is stunted by this leech on our backs.

For instance, do you all recall how when we first woke up we had Lotus give us a power surge that gave us unlimited power? We see this in Umbra when the Void Demon leaves us.

Also, I want to meet the rest of the Deluxe Warframes that are out there with different powers than our versions have.

We the Warframes fight for those weaker than ourselves. We fight for those who are destroyed by those who do not see them as people. The Void Demons fight to gather more of us as slaves and collectibles they dress up and parade around and put in dancing positions....

Warframes fight for freedom.

Void Demons fight to be emo....

But then what would you do? the nature of this game doesn't allow you to just simply "finish" it and pretend you coming back is NG+, an ultimate villain in this kind of game is like being in a TV show with the Gilligan's Island premise when you will never truly defeat said boss.

We already have a purpose? What about all the isolated groups we've aided and protected; Ostrons and the Solaris being the most notable but we've also helped smaller groups like the Kavor Defects and Mycona Colony.

Also since the Ropalolyst fight pretty much answered the direction we're going with the New War and that's the next major story update we'll be able to settle things with Lotus and possibly determine a new mission director (or it'll pull a 180 and we'll still have the Lotus).

Our purpose is fight for the highest bidder.

I prefer to follow a different mantra:

we have a purpose slaughter mass amounts of corpus and grineer and steal their stuff and weapons to use against them

from there point of view were just random genocidal mercenaries that can be bought if you use a orokin potato as the betting chip

Tenno are tools, always been used as tools. Used to fight the sentients, then used to destroy the orokin. Teshin tries to break us free from this by explaining what margulis did by erasing the tenno memories, and unlocks the tenno's full void powers to combat the grineer queens.

Now we are chasing after lotus because we have no one to guide us, due to some misguided attituide that she can be saved even though she will most probably destroy the sol system.

Probably true if it turns out that we'll actually decide to and do complete an event without any sort of material reward for completion.
