The Ocucor needs a small change

The ocucor in it of itself is a good concept, in addition the model looks extremely nice. Though its gimmick hurts it a lot. Resetting the tendrils on reload is a big loss in dps. Instead I want to suggest to change it into a time based buff, which you can refresh by killing further enemies. Basically a tendril will spawn normally after a kill, though instead of remaining till reload, the tendrils will have a 10s lifespan which can be refreshed by killing another enemy.

If this were a support weapon like the zakti or pox, which you would use to spread status then I wouldn't have a problem with using those mods, especially since damage wouldnt be that big of a factor. But as it stands now its a weapon you would use to kill enemies, which means if you have to put it away in order to make full use of its capabilities then you're better of just using something better like the atomos, which basically does the same thing just better because it can arch multiple times from the main beam if you hit multiple enemies like the amprex.

...I use the Occucor as a status proc weapon...

typically use it to proc Gas onto groups, so they can all explode when i throw my Condition Overload Orvius at them (pistol glaive duel wielding)

the auto-targeting and arcing on the occucor makes it easy to proc them, no having aim it...

I'm using the Hoster Reload method with Eject Magazine; the downtime to recharge really is not as bad as you're assuming it is. try it out first

any rate, a much bigger problem with Occucor is that its damage is currently gimped by a glitch that DE keeps ignoring

Multishot calculations are wrong on it; they only apply 50% of the expected damage value to the main beam, and the Tendrils gain no benefit at all

considering that MS is a big factor in damage nowadays; it pretty much makes the Tendrils gimmick useless as a Killing weapon; hence my current usage as a Stat Procer...

The fact that you dont need to aim, is indeed a good aegument for a status procced, but even then, I would say that the zakti and especially the newly released secondary do a better job, without having to use a mod like that.

I sidnt know about this problem, but yes if this is the case then DE schould fix that first. Its a shame thra such a good looking weapon is mostly useless.
