GoSonic
Please let us choose the rank of Primed/Umbral mods when they are Rank 10. I really want to max these mods for some builds, but it won't work on the others I already have set up. Spending 2 million credits and 40k endo can feel punishing when mods won't fit as R10. Especially if we can't get duplicates of the Umbral mods. Edited May 26, 2019 by GoSonic
(XBOX)GearsMatrix301
Prime mods: you have forma for this exact reason. Yeah you have to forma literally every frame for the mod but you also don’t HAVE to max the mod. Umbral mods: they are balanced by making it impossible to get a full build on a frame when using all of them at max rank without an Umbral Forma. Test-995
Why not allow it for every mods?
Cephalycion
Don't see why not. You just need to keep track of one more variable, which is the max rank that the player has gotten for that mod.
TheKovacs
At the very least let us have a way of setting different polarities for each set (A,B,C).

I beg to differ. Just look what I found on warframe builder. No umbra forma.

Reminds me of Paladins with their card system, in general it would be interesting to be able to adjust the rank of a mod as far as you have fused onto it. There was this thread on rivens that pretty much shuts down all these half-baked arguments about storing data on DE's servers.

Looks like much but comparatively its not a big difference. For example, what are the variables to keep track of for a mod? 1. Name (string) 2. Rank (integer) 3. Rarity (integer) 4. Description (string) 5. Polarity (integer) Derived values: 6. Drain (derived from rank and rarity) Adding one more isnt much of a hassle. The logic for it would be easy too. (PSN)CodyXSavageX
Idk about adding this kind of mechanic to mods helpful as it is I would prefer adding this feature to stuff like arcanes where we don’t dump resources into extra ranks if you wanted this mechanic than it would be not very useful unless you make every upgrade section unique to allow the same mod to have different ranks in different builds otherwise this feature is ultimately useless Also it would undermine another aspect of sacrifice the umbra mods have but we can just keep umbra mods the same way the are now It’s a good idea but is useless unless it implements what I mentioned earlier But even then it just serves to support people who have to carry copies of mods they are off by 1 or 2 ranks and carry all 3 rank 16 umbra mods which i’ll admit a noble goal of you
Hobie-wan
I made no comment on the feasibility. I was simply saying that 'one more variable' is a lot of data than people think.
NovusNova
I think its more to do with how the database would register the mod if you had it on multiple builds. Say, if you had "Primed Pressure Point" on 1 melee weapon at rank 10, maxed but then also had the same mod equipped on a new melee weapon that you just got and you don't have enough mod space so you downrank it to rank 5. But now the same mod exists in two separate states that the database somehow has to account for, "Do I remember the mod as Rank 10 or Rank 5" when the user goes into the mission which could lead to issues. The only solution I could see would be when you downrank, it downranks the mod on everything you have it on until you "rerank" it back up.
Chaemyerelis
This is actually a cool idea. Lets you fine tune a build.
